Labrador Retrievers

If you want to get a Labrador Retriever and be a good owner, you need to have an actve lifestyle. Labs have been bred to be enormously active hunting dogs, all day long, even for 16 hours a day. These dogs have astonishingly high energy levels, and although nowadays they are not used for hunting anymore, doesn't mean they don't need activities.

A really bad Lab owner would be a person who just hates going anywhere and just sits at home.

Kids n' Puppies

There are certain rules one should follow when getting a new puppy for their little child. It it very likely your child will never forget this gift so you should make sure it's a really pleasant experience. No doubt, your kid is going to be extremely excited about the new dog. Your task is to keep your kid as calm as possible, as the puppy will most possibly be really scared at the start and your kid's excitemet will only increase the dog's fear.

Puppy Mills

Year by year, thousands if not millions of puppies are bred in so-called puppy mills across the country and then either shipped to pet stores or sold directly through internet or newspaper ads. The stores themselves are not obliged to inform their customers where the puppies came from.

Although most of the puppy mills are inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, many of them manage to get away with major shortcomings.
